PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Police are asking residents who took their children “Trick or Treating” last night between Ferry Ave and Rainbow Drive to check or recheck all candy the kids came home with…

Police say they received a report from School District 57 Wednesday afternoon advising one of their students found a pencil sharpener blade in a small chocolate bar. The child was not hurt.

On Halloween night, the child attended homes in the Ospika Boulevard area between Ferry Avenue and Rainbow Drive in Prince George.

As always, police are recommending that parents check all treats before allowing them to be consumed by children. Throw out treats with damaged packaging, slice fruit, and avoid homemade treats from people you do not trust.

The investigation is continuing.

If you have any information about this incident, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477.
