Police say during the overnight on Tuesday at approximately 2:19 AM, Williams Lake RCMP responded to an armed robbery in the city.
A person walking along 2nd Ave was assaulted by unidentified individual(s). The suspect(s) produced a weapon and robbed the victim of money. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released from hospital.
The victim was unable to provide a description of the person(s) responsible and patrols for the suspect(s) were unsuccessful.
The investigation is active and police ask that anyone who may have witnessed this robbery or have information regarding this to contact the Williams Lake RCMP at 250 392-6211 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222-8477.
