Be prepared to drive to winter conditions if the weather forecast for Prince George is correct…

While Environment Canada has not issued any warning on the upcoming weather forecast,Β  we have no issue telling the motoring public of the first snowfall of the season for our region.Β Β

Environment Canada is predicting 5 to 10 cm of wet snow during the overnight hours and into the morning on Saturday for the PG region. Snow will then change over to a mix of rain and snow. The wet weather will remain until early next week.

The snow won’t stick around but it is a good reminder to drive to the road conditions, particularly on routes like Foothills Blvd, the Hart and rural areas around the city. These areas could receive more snow or black ice than the city itself.
