Missing rafter found deceased along the Willow River…

A rafter who went missing on May 20, 2024, has been located deceased according to RCMP…

Police say on May 20, 2024, officers from Prince George, including Air 3, and over a dozen PG Search and Rescue crews spent 150 person-hours searching along the Willow River, northeast of Prince George, where the man launched his raft.

On May 21, 2024, the missing rafter was located deceased.

“The Prince George RCMP would like to thank all of the agencies and Search and Rescue volunteers that were involved in this search and the subsequent recovery of the missing rafter. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

This investigation is now with the B.C. Coroners Service.
