Two paramedics suffered minor injuries following a serious crash just after midnight on 15th Ave at Carney Street in Prince George…
The incident began at 12:23 AM, when a pickup truck hauling a boat slammed into a BC Ambulance at the intersection. The impact of the crash sent the ambulance onto its side with the pickup truck coming to a rest behind the ambulance, nearly hitting a home on the corner of Carney Street.

“The sound of that crash was horrific”, states Shane Chevalier, the owner of PJXM News who heard the crash when it occurred. “I went to look outside and all I could see was a smashed BC Ambulance flipped onto its side not far from a home located on the corner of Carney.”
Several motorists along with a few pedestrians and homeowners stopped to help while emergency crews responded.

The occupants of the ambulance were taken to UHNBC for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the initial investigation shows the Emergency Health Services crew was traveling through the intersection when it was struck by the pickup truck. The occupants of the truck did not remain at the scene of the incident.

If anyone has dash camera footage, cell phone video or video surveillance, or if they witnessed the incident and have not yet spoken with police, we ask that you contact the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line at 250-561-3300.
The intersection has since reopened.
