The Dawson Creek RCMP is currently investigating a suspicious death in the community…

Police say, on Monday, April 14, 2025, officers located human remains and are treating the death as suspicious. North District Major Crime has been called to assist and have conduct of the investigation.

“North District Major Crime investigators are working quickly to capture all available evidence,” said Superintendent Sanjaya Wijayakoon, of the BC RCMP Major Crime Unit. “Our teams will be in Dawson Creek in the coming days and weeks, speaking to anyone with information to advance the investigation.”

The investigation is in the very early stages and no further details are available at this time.
