WorkSafe BC and the RCMP are currently investigating a fatal explosion at a gas plant north of Fort St. John Monday (April 14) evening…
Police say just before 7 pm, officers were notified of an explosion at the Tourmaline Gundy plant, located 150 km northwest of Fort St. John. (Note – Timing of the actual incident was after 6 pm)
Two workers were injured, with one succumbing to injuries sustained from the explosion.
While causal factors have yet to be determined, there is no evidence to suggest that there is any criminality involved.
