Police in Dawson Creek have arrested a wanted man and seized illegal drugs and weapons from a home following a search warrant last week…

Police say on August 29, 2024, officers arrested 30 year-old Tanner Murray, which then led to a search warrant being issued to a home near Alaska Ave and 14th Street the same morning.

The search warrant resulted in the seizure of multiple illegal items including:

• 4 firearms
• over 1000 rounds of ammunition
• several prohibited magazines
• over 1.2 kg of suspected fentanyl and heroin
• over 700 grams of cannabis
• 500 ml of suspected GHB
• over 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine
• over 100 grams of suspect psilocybin mushrooms amongst many other quantities of drugs and other weapons.

Police are pursing additional charges in relation to the items seized.
