Eight people were arrested Wednesday afternoon following a search warrant to a home located on Vancouver Street…

Police say at 3 pm, officers from the POP Team (Problem Orientated Policing), the Downtown Safety Unit, along with the North District RCMP, a warrant was executed at a home on the 1100 block of Vancouver Street.

Upon entry to the residence, eight people were found inside and all were arrested as part of a drug trafficking investigation. A search of the property found heroin and crack cocaine in amounts consistent with trafficking. A replica firearm and other weapons were also seized.

Police shut down 11th Ave and parts of Vancouver Street during the search warrant and reopened the streets a short time later. RCMP were also at the same location on Sunday morning.
