A two vehicle crash on Highway 97 in the Pine Pass region Tuesday afternoon has claimed the life of one person…
RCMP say the crash occurred just before 4pm on Tuesday and involved a pickup truck and a commercial transport truck.
Details of the crash have not been fully released but RCMP say one person, the driver of the pickup truck, died on scene. The crash itself caused a fiery scene and spread into the nearby forest according to witnesses on the Pine Pass Road Conditions Facebook group. The crash was located in the Kennedy Siding area of Highway 97 near the Azu Sub.
Highway 97 is open but remains with alternating traffic in both directions.
