UPDATE 4 – Fully reopened. Drive safely!

UPDATE 3 – Remains single lane traffic. Estimated time for reopening is 12 pm, July 17.

UPDATE 2 – Estimated time for reopening is 2am. Check DriveBC.ca for more information during the overnight.

UPDATE 1 – Highway remains closed. Estimated time for reopening is 4am on Wednesday.

Motorists be advised that Highway 97 in the Pine Pass region is currently closed due to a serious vehicle incident.

Photo from the scene. A post on Facebook group Pine Pass Road Conditions says the incident is at Kennedy Siding Rd.

The incident is between Kennedy Siding Rd and Azu Sub Rd.

No detour. Next update is after 7 pm.
