Fatal rollover crash south of McLeod Lake claims one life…

One person has died following a single vehicle rollover crash on Highway 97 on Sunday…
The crash occurred just after 12 pm on July 1, 2024, near the 42 Mile rd. turnoff along Highway 97, approximately 24 km south of McLeod Lake. The driver of a southbound pickup truck left the roadway, got caught up in the gravel of the shoulder and rolled. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on scene. No one else was injured.
Highway 97 was closed for several hours while the RCMP investigated the crash. The highway reopened at 5:30 pm to full traffic.
