UPDATE 3 – A Rainfall Warning has been issued for the North Peace region. 40 to 60 mm of rain is expected between Friday evening and late Saturday evening. For the South Peace, 15 to 25 mm is expected.
Please note that because there will be a lot of water in a short period of time, flooding is likely to occur in areas suppressed by wildfire and other areas prone to erosion from water, including ditches and creek beds. Be careful around all areas of water as the ground could become unsafe.

Next update is Friday morning.

A weather pattern change is in the works and with it comes some much needed rainfall for the BC Peace region…
If the forecast pans out, the North Peace Region could see between 30-50 mm of rainfall between Friday and Saturday and into Sunday. For the South Peace region, between 30-70 mm of rainfall could fall between Friday and Saturday before the system moves on out Sunday.
It is still a bit early for true amounts of precipitation therefore an update will be provided on Thursday morning and again Friday morning on this same post. A Rainfall Warning maybe issued if necessary.
This is just a heads-up that heavy rain is coming up and the forecast could very well change between now and Friday.
