Investigators with the Prince George RCMP are looking into two remote break-and-enters that occurred at cell phone tower sites over the past few weeks.

A Suspect(s) caused damage to a cell phone tower on Bobtail Forest Service Road and a tower near Berman Lake.

The first break-and-enter occurred at a cell tower near the Bobtail Forest Service Road and Highway 16 West on April 23, 2024. The suspects broke into the tower and stole a large amount of equipment, causing extensive damage to the building in the process.

The second incident occurred on May 7, 2024 at a cell phone tower near Berman Lake. The thieves took several metres of copper wire from this location and caused damage to the tower, as well. The value of this theft is currently unknown.
