An Alberta man wanted on 24 outstanding warrants out of Alberta has been arrested in BC…
Police say on May 1, 2024, officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 97 at Highway 52 in Arras, southwest of Dawson Creek. Inside the vehicle was 39 year-old Allan Philips. Officers arrested Philips as the outstanding warrants were extended to include British Columbia. Some of the charges below date back ten years, to 2014.
Philips has been charged with the following:
- 4 charges of fraud over $5000
- 7 charges of fraud under $5000
- 11 charges of obtaining credit by fraud
- 1 count of false pretense
- 1 count of failing to comply with a release document.
Police applied to keep Philips in custody but he was quickly released back into the community.
