House fire on the Hart claims one life…

A residential fire on the Hart Monday night has claimed the life of one person…

On April 15, 2024 at approximately 10:30 pm, PG Fire Rescue responded to an active alarm at a home located on the 4000 block of Chestnut Drive near Chief Lake Road and Highway 97.

4000 block of Chestnut Drive in Prince George.

Upon arrival, crews found smoke and flames coming from a single-family dwelling. Crews from three firehalls worked for three hours to extinguish the fire. One occupant of the residence was fatally injured in this fire.

Property loss due to fire is estimated to be $250,000.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
