The North District RCMP along with the Prince George RCMP and the BC Coroners service are investigating a suspicious death just north of the city along the Salmon River Forest Service Road…

Police say on March 9, 2024, at 3 pm, officers from Prince George responded to a report of deceased person on the Salmon River Forest Service Road. When officers arrived to the scene, members located the deceased person just off the roadway.

NDMCU (North District Major Crime Unit) has taken conduct of the investigation and is working closely in partnership with the Prince George RCMP and the BC Coroners Service. The public can expect to see an increase in police in the area for the next several days while the investigation continues.

The death appears to be an isolated incident and no potential danger to the public at this time.

The North District Major Crime Unit is seeking any information the public may have relating to this incident or may have seen anything suspicious in the area. Anyone who was near the area of Salmon River FSR with dash-camera video within the last two weeks is urged to contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.  File # 2024-7591 / NDMCU File # 2024-5657
