A fire on the 2200 block of Quince Street Friday caused $80,000 worth of damage…

Calls came in from witnesses at around 4:16 pm on March 1, 2024, stating a duplex was on fire.

Prince George fire crews from three halls attended the blaze and upon arrival, were met with heavy smoke and flames coming from the windows of the home.

Crews began protecting nearby homes from exposure to the fire and then attacked the involved structure.

The fire was contained to half the duplex where the fire originated, while the other half suffered minor water and fire damage.

The occupants of both units were out of the home and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
