A man has been arrested following reports of shots fired on 8th Avenue Monday morning…
Police say the report of shots fired came in just before 9 AM from the 1600 block of 8th Ave. Officers immediately responded to the scene in a residential neighborhood close to Duchess Park Secondary School. Officers located and arrested the male suspect within 5 minutes of arriving on scene.
“Due to the swift actions of our police officers in getting the suspect into custody so quickly, there is no current increased risk to the public,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP. “No injuries have been reported in relation to this event.”
The investigation is in its initial stages.
