The Quesnel RCMP along with NWEST (National Weapons Enforcement Support Team) conducted a search warrant at a home in the Ten Mile Lake area, north of Quesnel, Thursday evening…

Police say on February 15, 2024 at 7:30 PM, officers from the Crime Reduction Team and NWEST partnered together to issue the warrant at a home located in the 4000 block of Ten Mile Lake Road. There, a 26 year-old man was arrested after police located firearms, firearm parts, 3D printers and accessories used to make firearm weapons.

The results of the investigation will be sent to the BC Prosecution Service for assessment of appropriate charges.

It is illegal to manufacture firearms and to possess or access computer data that can be used with a 3D printer to manufacture firearms,” says Sgt. Clay Kronebusch. “These manufactured firearms have the potential to pose a great risk to the public and police.

The male suspect was released pending the investigation outcome.
