The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit is reaching out to the public for information on the 2009 homicide of 44-year-old Vernon Darcy Baker.

On April 11, 2009, at approximately 6:35 a.m., Vernon Baker attended a home on the 2300-block of Victoria Street and told the residents there he had been stabbed. Vernon was transported to a nearby hospital where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have information about this tragedy to please come forward and speak with police. Vernon’s family have never forgotten him and are still hoping to get answers as to what happened that morning,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
