British Columbians are encouraged to support the Milk and Cookies for Canuck Place campaign, presented by BC dairy farmers. Between February 2nd and March 31st, all proceeds raised from the campaign will be matched by BC Dairy to a maximum of $30,000 to benefit Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.

During the campaign, the sale of milk and cookies will support Canuck Place which is BC and the Yukon’s only pediatric palliative care provider, caring for 871 children with life-threatening illnesses and the families who love them.

“BC Dairy is proud to support Canuck Place, where their expertise in palliative care is renowned and their role in keeping families together during uncertain and difficult times, is unequaled,” said Casey Pruim, Board Chair for BC Dairy. “We are honoured to match donations and effectively double the impact of donations in support of this very worthy cause.”

Donations to the Milk and Cookies campaign can be made directly through Canuck Place, at participating shops and bakeries in the ‘Cookie Club,’ and at all Abbotsford Canucks home games this season.

“Every donation to the Milk & Cookies Campaign brings comfort and warmth to the children at Canuck Place,” said Denise Praill, CEO of Canuck Place. “We are grateful to BC Dairy, participating businesses and schools – and British Columbians for making a difference in the lives of those facing life-threatening illnesses.”

“Canuck Place Children’s Hospice is a long-time core beneficiary of the Canucks for Kids Fund, and Canucks Sports & Entertainment takes great pride in the role our organization plays, supporting the lives of children and families facing enormous challenges across B.C. and the Yukon,” said Rob Mullowney, Chief Operating Officer of the Abbotsford Canucks. “The Milk and Cookies campaign is a great initiative with BC Dairy, and we look forward to supporting it at Abbotsford Canucks games in the New Year. We encourage everyone to join us in making a difference – one milk & cookie combo at a time.”

The Milk & Cookies Campaign will be extended to schools across the Lower Mainland on February 22nd, for ‘Cookie Day’, during which students at participating schools will get an opportunity to host a bake sale and donate all profits to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
