UPDATE – PJXM is revising its snow forecast to less amounts in the PG region this afternoon and more snow for the Quesnel region. PG region, 10 cm for Friday afternoon with another 5 cm this evening. Quesnel region will be around 10 to 15 cm. Saturday accumulations will change to light snow and about 5 cm during the day with another 2 to 4 cm Saturday evening. On Sunday, further snow accumulation of 5 cm expected.

More snow is on the way to the Prince George region for Friday and the weekend. Up to 20 cm of snow is in the forecast, according to the American model. The accumulation totals will change and it could be higher, around 25 cm. The Weather Network is also suggesting at least 20 cm of snow by the end of Saturday, including the Friday totals, which is about 17 cm.
Environment Canada has just put out a snowfall warning for the region as of 8:40 am. At least it wasn’t issued as the snow was falling like Environment Canada is famous for.
Drive carefully if you plan to head out this weekend.
