A two vehicle crash earlier this morning on Highway 97 near Cinema has closed the highway and sent two people to the hospital…
Police say at approximately 6:13 AM, officers from Quesnel responded to a report of a head-on crash involving two pickup trucks on Highway 97.
Two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police mention that road conditions are in very poor driving conditions due to the snow fall. The highway will be closed for quite some time yet and there is no detour. Next update from DriveBC is 4 PM
“Road conditions are poor due to the recent snow fall,
” said Sgt. Clay Kronebusch. “We want to remind people to use caution and slow down when driving in winter road condition.
The current snow fall is going to stick around for most of the day Tuesday and clear out later on tonight.
