The Fort St. John RCMP executed three search warrants over the Christmas weekend…
The first search warrant was issued on December 24, 2023, and was related to a theft. During the search, officers located a handgun and drugs. A second warrant was issued for the handgun as it was found loaded. Officers seized the firearm, suspected fentanyl and cocaine. The release does not mention anything about arrests being made during this search.
On December 26, 2023, another search warrant was issued in relation to a Break and Enter and Theft of firearms. Officers located and seized a shotgun that had no serial number as it was filed off. Again, the release did not mention anything about arrests.
Police say the investigations continue and charges are pending once they are brought to the BC Prosecution Service.
