Two people are in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after they were shot during the overnight…

Police say just after 1 AM, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the backyard of a home located on the 700 block of Johnson Street.

When officers arrived at the location, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. The injured were taken to hospital where they are being treated for serious but non-life­ threatening injuries. The two victims are known to police, and investigators believe this to be a targeted attack, with no increased risk to the general public.

“Police officers are currently looking to obtain any video surveillance or dash camera footage from the area, or to speak with anyone who might have seen people or vehicles traveling through the neighbourhood between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. this morning,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
