The City of Prince George are inviting you to attend the Civic Light Up event at Canada Games Plaza on November 29 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
The returning celebration will feature a range of family friendly activities plus a few returning favorite’s from previous years. Happening alongside the event is the Festival of Trees inside the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Festival of Trees.
The event’s centrepiece, the Plaza light up, will take place at 7:40 pm outside Canada Games Plaza. Join friends, family, and fellow community members for live entertainment, food trucks, free giveaways/draws, and activities including:
- Live music
- Street hockey
- Face painting
- Pop Up Playday at Prince George Public Library
- Visits from Santa, Mr. PG, and more special guest mascots
Complimentary hot cocoa and holiday treats will be served and a fireworks show will follow at 7:45 pm.
This year’s event is a partnership between the City of Prince George through the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre, the Spirit of the North, the Festival of Trees, CKPG News, 99.3 Rewind Radio, 101.3 The River, and Russell Audio-Visual.

- TIME: Public Hours: Nov 29 – 9 am to 9 pm, Nov 30 – 9 am to 4 pm, Dec 1 – 9 am to 3:30 pm, Dec 2 – 9 am to 4 pm, Dec 3 – 11:00 am to 5 pm.
- ADMISSION FEE: $5 at the door or $15 family pass.
