The Fort St. John RCMP is currently investigating a home invasion and shots fired incident at a well known address in the city…
Police say just after 9 AM, a 911 caller stated they heard a “popping” sound just before 5:30 AM Thursday morning. The caller then discovered bullet holes in the home. It was also reported that another house in the area had bullet holes, however this home is believed to be where the shots came from.
The originating residence is well known to police and with evidence from today’s incident, and for the purpose of preservation of life, police entered the suspected home where they found four people, none of whom were injured. The four people were detained as officers learned that an unknown person forced their way into the home and fired multiple shots.
Video surveillance has been obtained and it shows four individuals leaving in a white pickup truck immediately following the shots being fired. There has been no evidence found to indicate anyone has been shot. Two of the four suspects have potentially been identified, however, it is not known who may have been the intended target.
