Highway 97 south of Quesnel was briefly closed on Tuesday afternoon following a single vehicle crash…
Police say at 1:30 pm, emergency crews from Quesnel were called to a collision scene involving a pickup truck and a utility pole.
Investigation reveals that a northbound pickup truck lost control and veered off the highway striking a power pole. The driver was able to get out of the truck before it had caught fire.
The driver was taken to hospital in Quesnel for treatment of minor injuries. No one else was inside the truck. Fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
