One person has died following a serious collision near Vanderhoof Monday morning…
Police say at approximately 8:43 am, officers and emergency services from Vanderhoof responded to a two vehicle crash involving a Cadillac and a semi tractor unit on Highway 16 between Bonney Beef Road and McCall Road.
Investigation revealed that the driver of the Cadillac crossed the center line and collided with the eastbound tractor trailer unit. The male driver of the car did not survive the crash and died on scene.
The highway was closed for the entire day Monday and it fully reopened just before 11 pm Monday night.
Police do suspect any criminality involved and the investigation is ongoing.
