UPDATE – Estimated time for reopening is 6:30 pm.

Motorists be advised that Highway 16 is closed 6 km west of Vanderhoof due to a vehicle incident. The vehicle incident is located between Bonney Beef Rd and McCall Rd.

There is a detour available using a gravel side road for passenger vehicles only! There is no detour available for large industrial/commercial vehicles.

Estimated time of re-opening at 5 pm this afternoon. This could change.

There are no details on the collision. This story is only for highway closure information.
