A fire on Friday afternoon has destroyed a shed and several sections of fence following a grassfire on Edmonton Street at Burden Street…
Fire crews from three halls attended the scene. The fire started off as a grassfire and quickly spread due to windy conditions that afternoon. Smoke and flames could be seen at the back of the property prior to fire crew arrival.

Fire crews were able to contain the fire within a short time and prevented further damage to nearby homes.
The cause of the fire was smokers material. Damage is pegged at around $15,000.
