House fire on the Hart claims one life…

One person has died following a house fire on Nordic Drive during the overnight on Thursday…

Just before 2:30 am, PG Fire Rescue responded from three fire halls and 16 firefighters attended the blaze at 4083 Nordic Drive on the Hart.

Upon fire crew arrival, the entire home was engulfed in flames with heavy smoke. Crews managed to knock down the fire and by 9:30 am, crews remained on scene dousing hot spots.

Damage to the home was extensive and is estimated to be around $140,000.

No fire crews were injured. The cause is unknown at this time.
