A man has been arrested following an incident in the downtown area earlier this afternoon in Williams Lake…
Police say a report came in just before 2:30 pm of a man with a machete attacking another person. When officers arrived on scene, the male suspect was gone, however he was identified by the victim.
A short time later, officers caught up with the suspect who fled the original scene on a bike. He was arrested without incident and remains in custody tonight.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
