Two people have been arrested following a serious assault that occurred in Williams Lake on August 22, 2023…

Police received a report of a robbery where a person was held against their will.

The victim, an adult man, reported that he had been forcibly confined and robbed a gunpoint at a residence on Pigeon Road in the city. The man was able to escape the home and fled to a neighboring residence where police were called. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say one suspect fled the area and a woman inside the victims home was arrested. Williams Lake RCMP called for assistance from the North District RCMP in Prince George. Containment was set up to search for the remaining suspects, with one being located and arrested.

Kyle Travis SELLARS, 31, has been charged with

• robbery with a firearm,
• confinement
• aggravated assault
• possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

The remaining suspect has not yet been identified.

The investigation is ongoing.
