UPDATE 2 – On Thursday, August 31, 2023, BC Prosecution Services has approved charges following the death of a Prince George woman on July 18, 2023.

Zain Wood, 23, has been charged with 1st degree murder in connection with the homicide. Wood has been remanded in custody.

UPDATE – One man has been arrested in this incident and he remains in custody.

The Prince George RCMP is currently investigating a violent home invasion that resulted in the death of a young woman…

Police say on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, officers responded to a complaint of a home invasion on the 2100 Block of Upland Street which has resulted in the death of a 22 year-old woman.

Prince George Serious Crime Unit, Forensic Services and BC Coroner service are engaged. Police believe this was a targeted event and do not believe there to be a further risk to the general public.
