The Fort St. John RCMP has made four arrests in last week’s shots fired incident near Triangle Park on 112th Ave…

Police say on August 2, 2023 at 6:18 AM, officers received a report of shots fired in the area of Triangle Park located on 112th Ave and 103rd Street in Fort St. John.

Four people were observed arriving in a car that had been reported stolen and committed a break an enter to a residence. A shot was fired then into the home. The suspects fled the area but returned a short time later.

Two people got out and approached the house however, RCMP officers had arrived on scene and interrupted the B&E, arresting two individuals. One person was found in possession of a spent shell casing along with bear spray. The second person was found to be in possession of a collapsible baton.

All 4 people involved were arrested on scene and containment was set up around the home.

With the assistance of RCMP Police Dog Services, eight people were safely removed from the home, all with no injuries.

A search warrant was executed on the car which yielded a loaded pistol. A search warrant was also executed on the residence resulting in additional firearms and ammunition being located and seized for investigation.

Charges have been approved against Bradley Johnson for:

  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle
  • Break and Enter with intent
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000

Johnson has been remanded into custody with his next court appearance scheduled for August 21, 2023.

Charges have been approved against Dallas Garbitt for:

  • Unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle
  • Break and Enter with intent
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000

Garbitt has been remanded into custody with his next court appearance scheduled for August 15, 2023.

Charges have been approved against Clinton Marks for:

  • Unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle
  • Break and Enter with intent
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000

Marks has been remanded into custody with his next court appearance scheduled for August 9, 2023.

Charges have been approved against Amanda Gehring for:

  • Unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle
  • Break and Enter with intent
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000

Gehring has been remanded into custody with his next court appearance scheduled for August 10, 2023.

This is an great example of how a timely report by the public combined with a quick response by the Fort St. John RCMP led to the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of a 3D printed hand gun,” said Constable Chad Neustaeter, Media Relations Officer for the Fort St. John RCMP. “Everyone came out of this harrowing situation safely which is the best possible outcome for a file like this.”
