Prince George is proud to host three Cops for Cancer Tour de North riders this year, and you can come and meet them on July 1, 2023, at the Canada Day celebration happening at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park.

The riders will be out with their bikes between 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Prince George RCMP community tent. Come by and learn about why these riders are taking on this incredible challenge!

This year, Prince George is being represented in the Tour de North by community members from three different organizations:

  • Sabrina Maaske – Prince George RCMP
  • Leighton Johnson – Correctional Service of Canada
  • Scott Roberts – Shared Services Canada

The money raised from the Cops for Cancer tours will support the Canadian Cancer Society in fueling new pediatric cancer research discoveries and sending 600 kids each year to Camp Goodtimes, a medically-supervised recreation experience for children and teens affected by cancer and their families. Every donation takes us one step further in pedaling our way to end childhood cancer. Because one child with cancer is one child too many.
