A two vehicle crash on Highway 16 West on Wednesday has claimed the life of a driver.
The crash happened at the intersection of Carmel Drive and Highway 16 Wednesday morning around 9 am. The crash was between two vehicles, a passenger vehicle and a commercial semi truck.
“In consultation with Northern B.C. Highway Patrol, Prince George RCMP is concluding the investigation into this incident. Police officers have determined there was no criminality involved and have turned this matter over to the B.C. Coroners Service, who are conducting their own investigation. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of the deceased,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
The driver of the semi-trailer truck was not injured in the incident.
Highway 16 was closed for approximately 2 hours and reopened just before 11:30 am.
This investigation is concluded.
