A known suspect to the Fort St. John RCMP was arrested last week following a stolen vehicle report…
Police say on June 15 at 6:26 AM, officers received a report of a Ford F-350 being stolen from the Fort St. John airport parking lot.
In collaboration with the owner, officers were able to locate the stolen pickup truck near the Coffee Creek Subdivision, north of Fort St. John.
Officers located the vehicle and found William Taylor in the driver’s seat of the pickup truck. Taylor was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property. At the time of the theft, Taylor was on multiple court imposed conditions, including not to occupy the driver’s seat of any motor vehicle.
Taylor was arrested and held for court facing criminal charges of Theft of Motor Vehicle over $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Mischief over $5000, Drive while Prohibited and thee counts of Breach of Release Order.
Taylor was remanded until June 20, 2023.
