UPDATE 2: Thunderstorms could be a threat Sunday evening for the BC Peace region. Up to *35 mm or more of rainfall is expected between Sunday evening and Tuesday overnight.

UPDATE: The upcoming forecast remains the same with the addition of thunderstorms Sunday night.

Environment Canada is calling for rain for the BC Peace region beginning on Sunday night…

In the forecast it is calling for 5 to 10 mm of rain on Sunday night and an additional 25-35 mm on Monday with temperatures in the low teens. This should help with the local forest fires but it may not be enough as warmer conditions will persist once again on Tuesday. Expect the smoke to linger around and become heavy in pockets throughout the weekend and on Monday.

These figures will get an update by PJXM late Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday morning.
