UPDATE 3: Hwy 97 is now open to full traffic. As of 6:20 pm.

UPDATE 2: Hwy 97 is now open to single lane alternating traffic. Expect delays. – As of 4:50 PM.

UPDATE: Estimated time for reopening is around 12 AM.

Motorists be advised that Highway 97 is CLOSED in both directions approximately 3 km north of Bear Lake.

Police say a two vehicle crash has the highway closed for an undetermined amount of time.

DriveBC says the collision is between Haight Road and Industrial Way.

There’s no detour.

Once more is released, we’ll provide an update.
