Police in Dawson Creek are asking for the public’s help after a man’s body was found in the Kiskatinaw River on Saturday…

Police say on April 15, 2023, officers were called to the Kiskatinaw Bridge on the Old Alaska Highway following the discovery.

Investigators are working to identify the male who is described as approximately 30-50 years of age.

This is a historic bridge, and many people travel to photograph and walk across the bridge” said Sergeant Chris Manseau, media relations officer for the BC RCMP. “Investigators believe that someone who was on the Kiskatinaw Bridge in the days prior may have photographs or video that could be useful to the investigation.

The BC RCMP North District Major Crime Unit was contacted and has since taken over the investigation.

If you were on the bridge taking photos and video between April 14 and 15, police are asking to review the photos.

If you have any information please contact the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
