On Sunday, April 9, 2023, just after 2 pm, crews from three firehalls responded to a report of a structure fire on the 300 block of Wainwright Street.
Upon arrival to the scene, fire crews were met with heavy smoke that filled the entire home. Crews managed to keep the fire itself to its original start point in a room.
There were no injuries to the occupants. Damage to the home is pegged at $50,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
