Ended… Update 3… More snow headed to Prince George for the weekend…

Ended. As of Feb 26.

UPDATE 3: An additional 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected tonight before tapering off to flurries Sunday morning. As of Feb 25, 2023 at 4:15pm.

UPDATE 2: We’re downgrading the accumulation amount to an additional 20 cm on top of Friday evenings total, which was 4 cm, by Sunday morning for the Prince George city limits. Wind is also in the forecast and will produce blowing snow on local roads and highways for most of Saturday.

However, for Quesnel a Winter Storm Warning has replaced the Snowfall Warning. Accumulation has also changed for this region. Up to 25 cm by Sunday. Highways and local roads are in poor driving conditions in the Prince George region. Drive safe! As of February 25 at 7:45am.

UPDATE 1: A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Prince George region beginning later tonight and intensifying during the overnight on Saturday. The system will move out of the region later Sunday morning. Cold temperatures will also remain in store for today and end on Saturday. As of February 24, 2023 at 7:19am.

After 30 cm of snow fell on Monday, more snow is forecast for the weekend, but this time it’ll be spread out over a few days.

Up to 25 cm of snow is in the forecast for Friday night through to Sunday as another system will move in. The cold weather is leaving us and temperatures will be on the rise back to normal for this time of year, around minus 4 for a daytime high and around minus 15 at night.

As always, this forecast will be updated after 4pm today, Thursday February 23.
