UPDATE: A detour is available using Giscome Road. Estimated time of re-opening is 2 pm PST. Vehicle recovery is currently underway. As of 10 AM.

Motorists be advised that Highway 16 East of Prince George near the Shelley turn off is CLOSED due to a vehicle incident. Expect delays in this area for an undetermined period of time.

Motorists should take extra time to get to their destination this morning as rain last night has left all roads in poor driving conditions due to freezing temperatures.
