As of 7 am Oct 27, there are approximately 27 power outages across the Prince George region. Most notable is a portion of downtown between lower 15th Ave and 20 Ave around Parkwood Mall that is without power due to a tree hitting the lines. Keep updated using BC Hydro.com.

UPDATE: Hours after the wind has been gusting up to 80 km/h in Prince George, Environment Canada issues a wind warning for the city. – Oct 27, 2022 at 5:20 AM.

Environment Canada is forecasting gusty winds between 60 and 80 km/h for the Prince George region beginning later this afternoon or evening as a warm front is approaching for Thursday…

Temperatures will remain around 4 degrees today and tonight and warm up to 7 degrees by Thursday morning when wind gusts are expected to increase from 60 km to around 70 km.

Rural areas should prepare for power outages and loose items should be stored away.

Warmer temperatures will persist over the weekend. Seasonal temperatures will make a return next week.
