PRINCE GEORGE, BC: A suspect who stole a vehicle earlier this month in Prince George will remain behind bars…

Police say back on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, shortly after 4:00 PM, officers received a report of a vehicle theft in the area of 5th Avenue and Brunswick Street. The victim told police he stepped out of his truck briefly and a woman got into the driverโ€™s seat and drove away with his blue Ford Ranger.

Police immediately flooded the area and located the vehicle just a few blocks away. Police arrested the driver without incident and she has been identified Leslie Marcia Odiorne, 39, who is known to police.

The B.C. Prosecution Service has approved the following charges in this matter:

  • Robbery
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Fail to comply with release order

Leslie Odiorne will remain in custody until her next court appearance.
