Police say just after 5:00 AM on Friday September 2, 2022, RCMP responded to an incident in a parking lot located on the 3300 block of Massey Drive in Prince George.
Upon arrival to the scene, officers found Prince George Fire/Rescue personnel conducting first aid on a 21-year-old Prince George man. Witnesses advised that the man had been operating a go-cart in the parking lot and collided with a fixed structure. The man was not wearing a helmet.
Paramedics transported the driver to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Evidence, including the go-cart, were seized at the scene.
The investigation is continuing, however foul play is not suspected. The BC Coroner Service is conducting a parallel investigation.
