Police officers attempted a traffic stop the vehicle, however, the vehicle initially evaded police and turned down a dead-end street. A spike belt was successfully deployed but the driver continued on with deflated tires into the College Heights area. The driver swerved around the police vehicles stopped at the intersection of Domano Boulevard and Highway 16 East, turning into the commercial parking lot at the 5000-block of Domano Boulevard.
“The vehicle became inoperable due to its condition. When stopped, the driver did not comply with police direction to exit the vehicle and was attempting to continue driving. A conducted energy weapon was deployed and the driver was arrested. Police identified the driver as 45-year-old, Prince George resident Gordon Peltz, who is known to police for similar offenses,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

- Refuse to comply with demand
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
Gordon Peltz will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
